Who is this course intended for?
- This course is designed for Radiologists and Cardiologists (or residents in training) who want to acquire basic and advanced knowledge in cardiac CT, helping to meet the requirements for EACVI level 2 certification (practical component – logbook). It is also open to other physicians, with or without a specialty, who have a special interest in this field.
Why are there only 30 in-person slots?
- It has been decided to conduct the course with only 30 students to optimize training through personalized attention, allowing ample time for questions and to address any uncertainties. In addition, each student will have access to an advanced workstation for individual use
Is prior training in cardiac CT required?
- Having prior knowledge of cardiovascular imaging and/or CT would be useful to make the most of the course, but it is not essential. The course and pre-course will cover both basic and advanced aspects of cardiovascular CT.
Is it necessary to have EACVI Level 1 certification to participate?
- EACVI Level 1 certification is not required.
Will the EACVI Level 2 certification be awarded upon completion of the course?
-
Certifications related to cardiac CT from the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), as well as BSCI and SCCT, are exclusively managed by those societies. Such certifications cannot be granted by any course. Upon completing the “Madrid Cardiac CT (SPECTRAL) Academy,” the following will be provided:
-
A certificate of course completion (36.5 hours) with the number of cases reviewed.
-
A certificate from Francisco de Vitoria University with ECTS credits (4.5 ECTS).
-
The logbook with at least 150 cases, meeting the minimum requirement for EACVI CT Level 2 certification (practical component).
-
There will be 15 to 20 live cases included, partially fulfilling the requirements for Level 2 certification, in accordance with the standards of similar courses.
-
